Thesis 19: Infernal Ignorance or Hellacious Hope? "Salty" Returns

This is Thesis 19 of the “End Times 95 Theses by The Two Witnesses of Revelation", a parallel of the work Martin Luther did hundreds of years ago. This thesis will explore commonly twisted Scripture regarding Hell. Hell is real.

Most people do not like Christianity for this one simple fact: It brings up the subject of hell, justice, and yes, even eternal damnation. I theorize many people avoid Jesus Christ because they do not want hell to be real - it's easier that way. So, then, what is the truth about Hell? The answer is partly this: Christians have lost their saltiness, and it's time to bring it back. Check out my post on vaccine repentance from today, as well.

Why Hell?

Most do not like talking about Hell - it makes even the most devout Christians uncomfortable. Instead of giving all the typical arguments for why God allows Hell (because it's been done), I am going to promulgate a somewhat new argument on why people struggle with the concept of Hell so much - in modern times, especially.

Quite simply, people struggle with Hell because it's a reflection of their own wickedness. Harsh, I know, but let me continue this point.

Let's start with the sinners of the world. If you are in sin, and you are enjoying it, certainly, you would not want to believe in a Hell. You love your wickedness, and you want to continue in it. It's easier to just believe it doesn't exist. Here is what the Bible says regarding this - the passionate translation because I'm feeling passionate - but here are all the translations:

Proverbs 29:27 The Passion Translation (TPT) - The wicked hate those who live a godly life, but the righteous hate injustice wherever it's found.
The wicked cannot stand the righteous, and they certainly cannot stand the idea that there are consequences for their wickedness.

So, then, it's not that surprising that the world does not want to accept the concept of Hell; however, what is going on with Christians, themselves, not accepting Hell doctrine? Over the years, there are more theories coming out that Hell is not eternal, or there are theories of annihilationism - that the wicked will just cease to exist. I am not going to throw these out immediately, but I am going to examine them.

Before I do, I believe these doctrines arise because Christians are clouded in their own pride and sins. When we are not living clean or pure lives, we are often led to doctrine that is not clean or pure.

Further, when we resist fellowshipping with others, we often get clouded in our own beliefs. These days, true fellowship is hard to come by, and most do not genuinely fellowship with others, especially regarding controversial issues.

What am I getting at is this: this type of writing requires discourse. I did not even decide to write this until I started discussing this question with others in our ministry: Is hell eternal?

Other than avoidance of fellowship, I think most Christians these days are simply lukewarm. This goes back to the initial point: if anyone is not fully operating in Jesus Christ, it will be difficult for them to understand Him and His justice. God loves justice, and therefore, true Christians should, too. Justice is a word rarely heard about anymore because the world is so full of corruption and sin.

One final note, if Christians are lacking in suffering, they may not see the need for justice. A comfortable and lukewarm church has placated Christians, making them forget about God's love for justice and even His vengeance. Yes, God has vengeance. Vengeance is His, and the Lord will judge His people.

Yet, if we all faced the true injustices of the world each day and did not avoid them, then perhaps we would start to feel that need for hellfire again. Most reading know, for example, about the pervasiveness of child sex trafficking rings, but where is their justice? Is everyone just going to make it to Heaven because it feels good, or will God avenge these children? If anyone has children reading, how would you feel if your child was stolen, raped, tortured, and possibly killed at the hands of Satanic pedophiles? Would you not want justice for him or her? Would you ask God to take the perpetrators to Heaven?

Ultimately, there are many arguments as to why God allows Hell to exist, but the point I am making is this: A wicked generation is NOT going to like Hell or understand it. Still, that doesn't make it any less real.

Hell Is Real

First and foremost, the Bible absolutely states that Hell is real, but perhaps the deeper question is this: Is it eternal?

In order to understand what Hell really is, we simply just need to go to Scripture. One thing I noticed is that people are always reading commentary about Scripture, but they are never actually just reading it. For the sake of this post, I will use Scripture directly from the concordance so we can examine words directly. We cannot cherry-pick verses. We must examine them, and study them in context - together - to form conclusions. While I will not list every hell verse here, I will do my best to choose as many as possible to form solid conclusions.

Revelation 21:8 -

21:8 But 1161 the fearful 1169, and 2532 unbelieving 571, and 2532 the abominable 948 5772, and 2532 murderers 5406, and 2532 whoremongers 4205, and 2532 sorcerers 5332, and 2532 idolaters 1496, and 2532 all 3956 liars 5571, shall have their 846 part 3313 in 1722 the lake 3041 which 3588 burneth 2545 5746 with fire 4442 and 2532 brimstone 2303: which is 3603 5748 the second 1208 death 2288.

There is clearly some type of a lake that burns with fire and brimstone that even the fearful (cowardly) go to in the "second death." The first death is when the physical body dies, and the second death is the spiritual death - the separation from God. The second death is literally "the lake of fire" according to Revelation 20:14.

Matthew 10:28

10:28 And 2532 fear 5399 5676 575 not 3361 them which 3588 kill 615 5723 the body 4983, but 1161 are 1410 0 not 3361 able 1410 5740 to kill 615 5658 the soul 5590: but 1161 rather 3123 fear 5399 5676 him which 3588 is able 1410 5740 to destroy 622 5658 both 2532 soul 5590 and 2532 body 4983 in 1722 hell 1067.

The term hell is used literally here. Your soul and body can be destroyed in hell, and some do make the argument that the word "destroyed" means some type of extinction of the body. However, a closer look at the word "destroyed" indicates a different interpretation. Here is Strong's 622:

It is paired with this word, and honestly, it leads down many different routes. I am not even sure "destroy" is the best interpretation here. I sense it means to be "taken to judgment" or "removed" or "receive punishment." While this would require further study, the point is that I am not seeing a good argument for extinguishment of the soul here.

Revelation 20:10

20:10 And 2532 the devil 1228 that deceived 4105 5723 them 846 was cast 906 5681 into 1519 the lake 3041 of fire 4442 and 2532 brimstone 2303, where 3699 the beast 2342 and 2532 the false prophet 5578 [are], and 2532 shall be tormented 928 5701 day 2250 and 2532 night 3571 for 1519 ever 165 and ever 165.

For Strong's 165, one can make an argument that there is an end to the suffering because this word can mean "period of time" or "age."

Even so, even if there was an age of suffering, does anyone want to go through it? I would personally not want to take one second in hell or torment.

Further, the word can still mean eternity, so we just have to discern in the Spirit and through the context of other verses for if this really means forever.

Matthew 25:41

25:41 Then 5119 shall he say 2046 5692 also 2532 unto them on 1537 the left hand 2176, Depart 4198 5737 from 575 me 1700, ye cursed 2672 5772, into 1519 everlasting 166 fire 4442, prepared 2090 5772 for the devil 1228 and 2532 his 846 angels 32:

The word here, everlasting, definitely means eternal:

If it does mean "age", it still means "practically eternal", and again, would any of us want to be in hell for "practically eternity"?

2 Thessalonians 1:9

1:9 Who 3748 shall be punished 1349 5099 5692 with everlasting 166 destruction 3639 from 575 the presence 4383 of the Lord 2962, and 2532 from 575 the glory 1391 of his 846 power 2479;

Here we see the word everlasting, Strong's 166, which does not seem to have any leeway in its meaning:

Again, we can make the argument that there is some type of "age" of torment, but it sounds like this "age", at the very least, feels like eternity.

I could keep going, but I think readers are getting the point. For certain, Hell is real, and I lean on the side that it is eternal based on the synthesis of Scripture.

Could there be something we are not understanding in regards to its length? Absolutely. I am not God, and who am I to say that there is not an "age" or torment that does end...eventually? Still, if I were to take all the Scripture about Hell and synthesize it, I would say it leans toward an "eternal" torment that has no beginning or end. Perpetual torment.

It sounds absolutely terrifying, and I do not see much evidence for annihilationism, which groups like the Jehovah's Witnesses vouch. Let's do one more verse:

Mark 9:48

9:48 Where 3699 their 846 worm 4663 dieth 5053 5719 not 3756, and 2532 the fire 4442 is 4570 0 not 3756 quenched 4570 5743.

This seems to indicate that the fire keeps going and going, and the worm does not "perish" in hell. It is perpetual.

So, if there is any potential for an annihilationism theory, I am not seeing it or trusting in it. Even so, I do not want to be annihilated - I want life. Don't you?

I accept there are mysteries and things I cannot understand about God, but I think it is important to continue to preach eternal hellfire, especially because Scripture seems to lean toward this being the case. Hell is real, and it is likely eternal.

People do not like hearing this, but we can save many souls by telling them this truth and not relying on "lukewarm" interpretations of Scripture. Not everyone is going to make it into Heaven, and some may end up in a blazing, eternal fire. Whether or not that ends, well that's up to God, but I am not taking any chances.

Love Without Discipline

You cannot have true love without discipline or justice, and Christians have tried to remove God's vengeance, wrath, and justice from their ministries.

Look at children today. They are no longer disciplined, and schools are in chaos. In the same way, the children of God have removed God's wrath, justice, and discipline from Scripture, and we get churches with "Rainbow Christianity", where everything is good and justified. This is a form of Antinomianism, which has taken over the churches:

Christians want Jesus's free gift of eternal life, but they do not want to pick up the cross that comes with it.

As the end times unfolds before us, we see the "itching ears" take over even in the most devout Christians. They slip into these false doctrines because they, themselves, are not representing the true Jesus Christ.

The more righteous you become, the more you beg God to end the world and cry out for justice. The more you face the truth, the more you long for His vengeance and wrath - the more you understand an eternal Hell.

People don't want the end of the world because they, themselves, are wicked. They don't want justice because they are unjust. They don't want purity and righteousness because they are not pure or righteous. They don't want Hell because Hell is within them - not Heaven.

They want a Christianity that pleases them and their wicked desires.

However, I am here to tell the truth, even if I stand alone - even if everyone hates me, and already, I have many enemies.

My life is short, and I would rather die with integrity and principles of the true Jesus Christ than some false Anti-Christ spirit that has been created to please the sloppy and lazy "Christians."

I'm over it, and perhaps I am harsh, but being soft and sweet certainly hasn't been helping anyone. Trust me, I wish I could be softer. I wish I could be sweeter, but it isn't working.

So, I'm not giving you the sugar. I am giving you the salt because the Christians have lost their saltiness:

13 “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.

They were once the salt of the earth. They have lost their saltiness.

Can they get it back?

I think if they stop believing "wishy-washy" lukewarm doctrines, they can. Hell is real, it is likely eternal, and many are going to burn in Hell.

Salty, isn't it? I stand by this saltiness, but most of all, I say it with love. Do I truly love anyone if I do not warn them about eternity in hell?

I don't think that's possible.
