Thesis 5: The Cataclysmic Sin of the Complacent Christian Church

This is Thesis 5 of the “End Times 95 Theses by The Two Witnesses of Revelation", a parallel of the work Martin Luther did hundreds of years ago. This thesis will expose the worldiness and complacency of the modern end times church, leading to its death. Here are the previous theses for reference, which I recommend are read in order:

Introduction:

I would like to begin this thesis with a personal anecdote. I do not share this anecdote to elevate myself over anyone else; rather, I believe it is great example of the "false" version of Christianity I am seeing today. Note, I am careful to talk about my works on this blog, but there are times when I feel it is necessary. So, for the accusers, Jesus Christ has given me permission to post this. Besides, we are to shine our light before men - not in an arrogant way, of course.

A few months ago, I was scrolling through social media, and I saw a man from Africa post, "I am just going to give up and commit suicide." There were about 30 comments, all saying, "I will pray for you" and even providing some Bible verses.

Why did the man want to kill himself? He was not doing well with his orphanage, and his kids were hungry. While I know there are many scammers out there, he had evidence that he was running a true orphanage, and this was clearly a call for help.

So, I scrolled through the numerous comments with prayers and Bible verses, and I was reminded of the following verses. I challenge readers to not skim over them but to read them, as they are vital to this thesis:

14 What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? 15 Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. 16 If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? 17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

18 But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.”

Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds. 19 You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.

20 You foolish person, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless[d]? 21 Was not our father Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? 22 You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. 23 And the scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,”[e] and he was called God’s friend. 24 You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone.

25 In the same way, was not even Rahab the prostitute considered righteous for what she did when she gave lodging to the spies and sent them off in a different direction? 26 As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.

What good did it do for the man with all the Bible verses and even the prayers posted? I am not dismissing these as necessary elements of faith, and there are times and places for faith alone. However, this man needed help immediately, and at times, we must be the answer to someone's prayer.

I wrote, "Do not kill yourself. I will send you a few dollars."

I sent him $3. Just $3.

To this day, this man cites this as a moment that changed his life forever. Again, this is not about me being so great because, what really, is $3 for me? I throw $3 away easily on a daily basis, almost, and I'm sure many readers do, too. So, again, this is not about the greatness of my own work. It is about Jesus motivating me to work through the Holy Spirit. God uses people to answer prayers.

The point is that what changed this man, whom I still talk to this day and is an active member of our ministry, is my action through Jesus Christ. Faith without works is dead.

There is almost no indicator, anymore, that someone is Christian or differerent from the world through their actions. Most Christians today dress in a worldly way, act in a worldly way, talk in a worldly way, and spend their free time in a worldly way. Even when entering any modern church, it is almost indistinguishable from the world at this point. The only difference one may see is the mention of the name of Jesus Christ, which leads us to this classic verse, Matthew 7:21:

7:21 Not 3756 every one 3956 that saith 3004 5723 unto me 3427, Lord 2962, Lord 2962, shall enter 1525 5695 into 1519 the kingdom 932 of heaven 3772; but 235 he that doeth 4160 5723 the will 2307 of my 3450 Father 3962 which is in 1722 heaven 3772.

In other words, not everyone who professes the name of Jesus Christ will make it into the Kingdom of Heaven. In order to make it into Heaven, one must do the will of the Father.

We are not endorsing legalism. There are many Christian ministries coming out saying that women should wear a prayer shawl or go to hell and that one can never listen to a worldly song. As I have mentioned many times before, we have freedom in the law, but that freedom does not mean everything is benefiical to us.

With that being said, what exactly differentiates most Christians from the world today? The majority of Christians today go to church, sit in a pew, sing some songs, and then go back to the world for the rest of their week. Some may serve or volunteer for the church, but there would be nothing in their daily lives to indicate they are Christian. I meet many Christians from day to day, and I do not see any indicator of any fruits or works in their daily lives (most of the time). How many people sit there all day posting memes, videos, and Bible verses about God but doing absolutely nothing for Him? How does this please God? Just to note, if you do not know what how to help people, I have information in the conclusion in this post. Ultimately, the point is that people have become complacent.

Complacency: The Cataclysmic Sin of the Modern Church

When one reads the definition of complacency, it perfectly defines the modern Babylonian church. Part of the problem, as I have mentioned in previous theses, is that the church cannot grow because the root is rotten. There is a "self-satisfaction", "smugness", and a "self-appreciation" that is detected the moment one walks in the doors. Basically, they all think they are doing great, and none would say they need improvement. The other part of the problem is that people refuse to self-examine individually in the church. The Bible says we need to examine ourselves daily:

In this very moment, I am examining myself. I have asked God today in prayer to help me love people more and be more patient. In what ways do you need to improve?

Complacency can lead to sin. It is the root of many sins in the modern church, and it is cataclysmic because it is deceiving. Complacency is just a form of pride, and pride is one of the most difficult sins to conquer.

When one walks into any church today in Babylon, it looks good, doesn't it? The modern churches are organized, outwardly friendly, and clean. However, though they look lively, they are dead inside.

You may not go to church, but are you or other Christians you know the same way? You proclaim you have faith, but is it shown in your works?

This is not MY judgment. When I write, I am pushing everyone, even myself. Every time I write something like this, I am motivated to be better. That is all I intend for readers. Can you do better today than yesterday?

So, how does complacency lead to sin? Let's go back to the wisdom of James 4:17 -

If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them.

If you know there are good things you should be doing, but you are not doing them, that is a sin.

Again, inaction can be a sin. Complacency leads to sin.

As mentioned in previous theses, the churches are dying. They are no longer producing fruit because they have grown complacent. This becomes a cataclysmic sin because it is related to pride. Again, complacency is a form of pride because one feels there is no need for self-reflection or improvement. Here are some important verses about complacency and pride:

Zephaniah 1:12

“It will come about at that time

That I will search Jerusalem with lamps,

And I will punish the men

Who are stagnant in spirit,

Who say in their hearts,

‘The Lord will not do good or evil!’

Jeremiah 10:21

For the shepherds have become stupid

And have not sought the Lord;

Therefore they have not prospered,

And all their flock is scattered.

Matthew 7:26

Everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.

So, do not grow stagnant or complacent in your hearts. We ALL have work to do. To end this post, let us speak of the Good Shepherd.

Conclusion - The Good Shepherd

In Ezekiel 34, it explains how the shepherds of the past became greedy and kept all of the "food" to themselves, essentially becoming complacent in their works. Remember, food can be physical or spiritual. Because of their complacency, the true good Shepherd, Jesus Christ, is sent to model and fix things in the coming years, and this prophesied in this section.

The Bible works in parallels. We are now in the end times, where the shepherds have fed themselves, and their sheep are scattered and lost. God is sending two witnesses to help lead people back, and soon, Jesus Christ will return again - His second coming - for the final Judgment.

This is your opportunity to fix your complacency and to be a good shepherd for the world. If you do not know how to help, send us your testimonies! How many out there read our blog but have never sent a testimony? If you don't know how to help people, donate to us! We keep a close relationship with our donators, and in fact, they have become our counsel in these end times. If you don't know what to do, ask Jesus Christ. He will lead you away from your complacency.

This thesis is a simple one because this is not a difficult concept. Modern Christian churches have refused to address works. While we are NOT saved by works alone, we will be judged by them.

The day is coming soon where we will stand before Jesus Christ. Perhaps you will be able to say you led a good life, but Jesus Christ will ask, "How did you serve me?"

Right now, how would you answer this question?

The other day, I opened a door for a man, and he started proclaiming how Jesus Christ was Lord! Then, we were led to a huge end times discussion for all around us to hear - just because I decided to open the door for him.

Again, I am not writing this to brag. There are many things I do not share with readers because I am awaiting a crown or crowns and rewards in Heaven. Seriously. We are allowed to be motivated by spiritual rewards!

Start building your mansions in Heaven now! I once heard a testimony that our faith and works are actually what spiritually build the mansions Jesus Christ spoke of - wow!

Please - throw out the crown of complacency. Start working toward your crowns in Heaven by actually doing something for Jesus Christ today - encourage someone, help out a homeless man, buy some Bibles and start preaching. There are endless works to be done! Join our ministry!

Complacency leads to death. Only following and obeying Jesus Christ, which at times involves doing good works, will produce the fruit you need to make it to Heaven. Of course, we thank God for His infinite mercy for the times we fall short, and truly, His grace is sufficient for us.
