The Testimony of Vince: The Rewards of Obedience

This will be a combined testimony from Witness 2 and a man who sought help from her - Vince. The message of this post is that God rewards those who are obedient to Him!

Introduction - Witness 2's Perspective

I never thought Vince and I would become friends. I do not say this in a critical way, but I know he would appreciate honesty, and I do not plan to censor my testimony or his.

When I first met Vince, he was in a desperate state -
a 30-something-year-old virgin, with no job, no purpose, and no true beliefs. Again, none of this is meant to be critical, as this is the way he described himself to me when we first met. Moreover, this is also not an insult to any reader, so please do not take it that way.

Apparently, he stumbled upon one of my posts on /pol/, which said something along the lines of the truth and meaning of life could be found on our website. I stand by that! His testimony, which I will include a moment, will paint the full picture a little better, in his own words. From my perspective, though, Vince was one of my toughest cases when it comes to serving Jesus Christ, and again, I do not say that to be mean but just to be honest.

In the beginning, Vince reached out to me, and I helped him. Like many, he sent an email, and I thought I would reply and probably never hear from him again. I do not know how many people send emails, I reply, and I never hear from the again, but it happens every so often.

Many readers know I often offer anonymous phone calls. I believe the world has lost human connection, and the phone call is the simplest way to regain it; therefore, that is why I do it, even if it is a little uncomfortable at first. Also, God tells me to always offer to talk on the phone, so I obey.

The first time I spoke to him on the phone, he could barely speak, but he just asked me to pray. I remember how despondent he sounded - he could barely utter a word. He sounded somewhat weak but gentle. I knew from the phone call he would never hurt himself or others, but I also could tell he was severely depressed, perhaps full of suicidal ideation.

Over time, I would call him often. I prayed for him to get off drugs, and he did, and I told him to get baptized, and he did. I gave him as much advice as I could, which often felt more like motivational speeches than anything else. Overall, he often took my advice, even though it was difficult for him, and he did not always understand it.

For a few months, it seemed like things were getting better in his life, but he had some deep resentment toward me. I believe there was deep anger in his heart toward me, and he stopped talking to me for a few months. I had no idea what happened to him, but I felt it was best to let him go do what he needed to do.

A few months ago, he emailed me, angrier than ever. He asked us to take down his testimony (he had done this once before), and I was saddened but did so. Somehow we started speaking again, and I have to admit, I wasn't the happiest about this. Again, Vince still had some issues, and though he had made progress from the past, I felt his deep hatred toward me pouring out in emails.

I prayed to God, as I always do, and He told me to talk to Vince, so I obeyed. Even Witness 1 asked, "Why are you talking to him if he's such an a**hole to you?" And I said, "God told me to." Haha, Witness 1 hears that, a lot, and I appreciate that he stands by me in my strange, but interesting, life.

Vince would email every day, and I would dutifully reply. Sometimes he would get angry about my replies, and then we would both grow angry at each other. I would pray, asking God, "What am I supposed to do with him?" God simply would reply, "Just talk to him, even if he gets angry at you." I obeyed.

Each morning, I'd wake up, and sure enough there would be an email from Vince. Again, I'm not here to paint a bad picture of Vince, but rather, show that Vince was committed. Even though it was difficult, the Lord had told him to keep talking to me, and he obeyed, even if I wasn't the friendship he expected. Honestly, he just needed a friend, and I think I was the friend God gave him. In fact, we were both obeying God's voice, even if we didn't understand it at the time.

One day, he sent me an angry email again, which made me unusually mad. I had just started my work day, I had a break, and my blood was honestly boiling about the email. I decided to pray quickly, call him, and this time, I just told him the truth, perhaps even raising my voice for the first time with him.

We were debating about demons or something along the lines, and I told him he was being a hypocrite. He asked why, and I said, "You can't truly be a follower of Christ if you don't love me. Hating me is like murder. That is what the Bible says!"

Something seemed to change in him that day. Upon reflection, I don't think Vince really hated me - I think he was working through anger and bitterness, and I was the friend God sent to him that could handle that. I realize, at this time, I don't think he ever really hated me. He just needed an outlet from the pain of his past, from the things he was struggling with, and unfortunately, the world doesn't like honesty. Even when I write testimonies, people don't seem to really like the honesty. It's shocking in a world full of lies. For him, he needed somebody he could be honest with, and that person was me.

Following that day, he grew increasingly kinder, but there were still fights. Sometimes I said things that made him mad, or he said things that made me mad. I remember one Saturday morning I replied to a long email about whether or not Christians could be demonized. It took me about 2 hours, but God told me to write it. I obeyed. I really didn't want to spend my Saturday writing a 2 hour email, but God told me I had to do it for our relationship.

Vince replied, seeming to agree with what I said, and we finally settled an important matter. It was worth it, after all, to settle something we had been debating for months.

This is where his true transformation began. No matter how low he was, he obeyed. No matter how mean he was, I obeyed. I obeyed by talking to him, by helping him, and by forgiving him. Vince obeyed God by talking to me, taking my advice, and staying in prayer and repentance for months. He never gave up on prayer, which I believe is always the key - to always be in prayer.

Truthfully, the demons or Satan himself were doing everything to stop our friendship. They would send him devastating thoughts about me to make him hate me, such as me being a "Jezebel Spirit" and similar thoughts. But he didn't listen. He obeyed God instead.

Further, Vince continued taking my advice. Once he asked me, "Why should I go to church? Isn't everyone vaxxed anyway?" I told him, "It will help you. It will give you something to do." I always tell Witness 1, if you are going to be sober, you have to be busy for the Lord. For anyone reading, if you are going to try to live in this world righteously, you have to busy for the Lord! [Added note: Vince and I do not hate the vaxxed and believe they can repent; however, we do see the major problems with the modern church that are written all over this blog.]

Vince kept praying, talking to me, and spending time with Jesus Christ. Each day he was getting better. Everything started to shift for him. I was and still do call him once a week.

Before writing this, I prayed outside in my favorite chair, feeling the warmth of the sun. I asked God about what to write, and He gave me the word "Obedience." He told me because Vince had obeyed, He was rewarding him.

Instead of giving up, instead of feeling sorry for himself, Vince just kept trying and obeying the Lord. He would go to the park for hours and pray, and sometimes cry, and he never, ever gave up. He could have stayed exactly where he was, desperate, on drugs, and blaming everything and everyone he could. However, in his own free will, he decided to change. No one could force him. He had to choose.

He had a lot to be bitter about, but he kept fighting against that bitterness. No matter what, one thing I knew for sure about Vince is that he loved Jesus Christ, which is why we both kept talking.

That is what ultimately united us.

We both love Jesus Christ so much, and Vince is one person I can tell readers with 100% certainty: He loves the Lord. According to John 14:23

  • 23 Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.

I have written this before, but who can ever love the Lord as much as me becomes my friend. We show our love for the Lord by obeying Him, and then, we will find our home.

And that is how Vince and I became friends.

Vince is now my friend!

Again, I never thought I could say that before.

A few days ago, he sent me a picture of two ducks, and he said, "I saved this for the right moment."

I said, "I think this is the most important moment in our relationship!" He laughed, as it sounded a little dramatic, but the pictures for this post are the pictures he took while praying. He saved it for the right moment in our friendship, and now here they are for the world to see.

The ducks are a perfect representation of us - floating along in murky waters, trying to survive this tiring world, but forming a bond through our struggles. Or, maybe, that we are prudent...seeing trouble coming, and ducks?

  • 12 A prudent person sees trouble coming and ducks; a simpleton walks in blindly and is clobbered.

It's a play on words, everyone - just for fun. Anyway...

In the meantime, Vince now goes to church, has a job, and even has a girl he is seeing. If you would have known him a year ago, you would have thought that impossible. I certainly did.

I don't want to overtake Vince's testimony with mine, but I want readers to understand that the reason he is being rewarded now is because he has obeyed the Lord. This is the message the Lord Jesus Christ wanted me to give readers: Why is Vince being blessed? Because he obeyed.

Many readers are not obeying the Lord, and they don't understand why their prayers are not being answered. God hears the prayers of the righteous, and if you are not attempting to live righteously, then the rewards will likely be withheld. Now, I would like to share Vince's testimony, and then, I would like to conlude with a few more thoughts. I do pray, this time, he keeps the testimony up, in Jesus's name. : )

Vince's Testimony

I am not sure where to begin as I have written a few testimonies but asked for them to be removed. I grew up catholic and my parents divorced when I was 3. I last saw my dad in person when I was 12. He died in May of 2022 a few weeks after taking the vaccine. I dropped out of school at 16 and had terrible anxiety/depression since childhood. I escaped from reality into video games, film, and porn. I never got a job or license, never been in a relationship and am a virgin at 32.

I have browsed /pol/ since before Covid so I knew not to take the vaccine and made sure I told my family (at least everyone on my mom’s side did not take it.) I got SSI disability for major depression around the start of Covid. I got addicted to weed and kratom after I got disability money and also smoked nicotine since I was 13.

I found Witness 2 in a random /pol/ thread back in February of 2023. I believed everything they were saying but didn’t know how to have faith in Jesus. I asked her and she gave me a simple prayer to say. Something like, “Jesus if you are real then show me and I will worship You.” I was filled with all kinds of emotions and couldn’t stop crying for no reason. A few weeks later I was trying to quit the drugs and I was going through withdrawal. I still had not read the Bible and didn’t know who God was. I rebelled against Witness 2 and fell into some new age stuff for a few weeks. It was very deceptive with how they say you can still have Jesus as your “spirit guide.”

After a few weeks I came back to Witness 2, ashamed. I got baptized in April but still didn’t know God or read the Bible. I still smoked and went back to kratom and escapism. I finally reached out to Witness 2 in May when I was having a lot of suicidal thoughts and ideation. She helped me to quit the drugs and I started reading the New Testament. I quit porn, weed and kratom in May of last year and have never gone back.

In June I started fasting and praying a lot more. I started exercising and eating healthy. On July 5th I prayed for motivation to quit nicotine and that very hour I quit cold turkey and never went back. I was very miserable and got into legalism a bit once I got to the Old Testament. I kind of ghosted witness 2 in August thinking she was bad for me. Mostly I believe the enemy did not want me talking to her anymore. I still was miserable and completely alone for a few months. I didn’t go back to drugs or escapism, I couldn’t do that. I prayed for hours every single day for help.

One thing I always wanted was that perfect love that would cast out all fear. I wanted any kind of love as Paul said, “Everything is pointless without love.” I just prayed for it every day, I would walk to the park and sit down and just pray. I didn’t understand why I was so miserable, I had barely any love. I was praying and reading the Word everyday, I was fasting and abstaining from sin. I was still having panic attacks and suicidal thoughts every day. Eventually, one day in August I was praying at the park and was overwhelmed with this feeling of love. All I could do was cry and worship God. I did this for about an hour and had no idea what it was, I could pray so easily without thinking. I was still mentally a mess but I had this new hope and love for Jesus.

I would keep going to the park and experience that every day. It changed me a little every time. I was still alone though with crippling social anxiety. I believe that the Holy Spirit was telling me to go to a church near me as I couldn’t do this alone. I disobeyed out of anxiety and fear which He does not like. I stopped praying as much and stopped reading the Word for the month of October. I was also doing semen-retention and got full of bitterness.

I reached out to Witness 2 around the end of October in a cry for help. I was not very nice to her for awhile. I made it around 83 days of semen-retention and got a condition called chronic epididymitis around Halloween. I still have it to this day and it still sucks. I kind of blamed it on Witness 2 for some reason and was really not nice to her for the next few months.

I was at least not alone anymore and I got back to praying for at least an hour without distractions everyday. I still had no job or license but I did have my permit and could drive. I still ate healthy and exercised. I was still not doing good.

On the first Sunday of November I decided to walk to that church in the morning. I was full of anxiety and fear that entire walk. It is a small church, nothing special but they were very nice and welcoming. I have kept going back every Sunday and joined some of their small groups during the week.

I joined a gym in December, before that I only had a few weights and an elliptical in my basement. I was still being rude, harsh, or mean to Witness 2 every few weeks. Thank God she stayed patient with me. I was fellowshipping and praying with others at my church. I was coming out of my shell more.

The month of January I have been full of energy. I have had more peace and joy than I thought possible. More stability in everything and I have not lashed out at Witness 2. I believe God sent me her to show me people care for me. The people at my church care for me. I am surrounded by people who care when I was in isolation a few months ago. I am the healthiest I have ever been in my life. I am in the best shape of my life, I spend 15-20 hours at the gym every week.

Most importantly I have this indescribable love for Yahweh, for His Son Jesus and for His Spirit. I have love for others and pray aloud with others. I have been applying for jobs and had a few interviews. [Vince actually just got a job!] I am talking with this girl who is a virgin and unvaccinated, who I met on a dating app. I could write a book about the past year. All these things I believed were impossible for me. I never could have imagined me going to church or being social. I never imagined that God could change me so much.

I am so grateful for everything God has done and will continue to do. I did nothing but pray and read His Word. All the glory belongs to Yahweh, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. I originally wanted to wait to write this testimony. I wanted to have a job and license, to have a perfect testimony. The fact is my testimony will always be changing until the day I die. I am incredibly grateful for Witness 2 and her patience and love. I had nothing to offer, no money or anything. I was rude and mean for no good reason. Arguing for the sake of arguing when I didn’t even disagree.

I am grateful for everyone who has ever prayed for me. I pray God blesses everyone who has ever prayed for me in the name of Jesus. I pray this testimony helps even one person. I pray it inspires others to write their own testimony for Jesus. Most importantly I pray this testimony glorifies God. I pray for everyone who reads this to be blessed with every spiritual blessing in Jesus's name, amen, so be it.

Concluding Thoughts

I am beaming with joy for Vince. I now look forward to our calls, and I am praying for him every day.

Vince has now found his home with the Lord because He has obeyed him. I told him the other day on the phone, "I don't think the demons can win anymore. I think we won against them."

The demons were doing everything they could to make us hate each other, but because Vince and I love the Lord and obeyed Him, they couldn't stop us. We went against our own flesh, our own anger toward each other, so that we could become friends. We defied all the odds Satan set against us.

Readers may find this dramatic, but I don't. Once a reader told me that they had started to pray for The Two Witnesses, and they heard a voice that said, "Don't pray for them." They realized it was not the voice of God and continued to pray.

There are many voices we are all hearing every day. We must try to discern which is the Lord's. Jesus says, "My sheep hear my voice."

I imagine Satan is doing everything he can to stop people from reading this website - to stop people from taking our advice. But I pray against these tactics in Jesus's name.

Vince is a model for readers on what they have to do to overcome:

No, Vince is not perfect, and he doesn't claim to be. No, I am not perfect, and I do not claim to be. We are all living, breathing testimonies.

I told him, "I'm just writing my live testimony right now for the world to see."

So, here is another day in my life. No matter how low I feel, I know that I helped someone, and now I am honored to call Vince my friend.

I pray to find many more friends through our website!

  • In the meantime, as corny as it sounds, there is a direct number to Jesus Christ:
  • Jeremiah 33:3

I would like to end with a prayer for Vince and any readers who need help to take the first step.

  • Dear Father in Heaven,
  • Please bless Vince for letting me include this honest testimony in Jesus's name. Please pour blessings upon him from heaven, and guide him in all his new endeavors! For readers, send them our way, anyone who needs help. Jesus Christ, help us help others and model your love in these terrible times. We love you, Jesus, with all of our hearts and souls. You are perfect, and we can only hope to be a reflection of your perfect love.
  • In Jesus's name I pray!
