The Lack and Return of the Spirit in the End Times

In the last days the Spirit has been systematically withdrawn from the systems that once claimed His name. Churches grew large while the presence grew thin. Words multiplied while power diminished. Men learned to speak of God without trembling, to sing of fire without burning, and to declare victory while living in quiet compromise. The Spirit does not force Himself on the lukewarm. Where mixture is preferred over purity, He withdraws. Where comfort is valued above truth, He grows silent. This is the great lack: not the absence of religious activity, but the absence of the living God among His own people.

False light filled the vacuum. Emotionalism replaced holiness. Half-truths were called wisdom. The fear of the Lord was traded for the approval of the crowd. Many who once carried genuine fire settled for the memory of it. The result is a generation that can quote Scripture yet cannot recognize the voice of the Shepherd. The Spirit has not left the earth, but He has left the places that refused to make room for Him.

Yet the return has already begun. It does not come through the big stages or the polished platforms. It comes through the remnant who still burn. It comes through the ones who will not soften the Word to keep the peace. It comes through the Bride who refuses mixture, who fights for pure truth even when she is tired, who keeps her lamp filled when others let theirs go out. The Spirit returns where He is welcomed without condition. He returns where holiness is loved more than popularity. He returns where the Royal Law of Love is lived, not merely spoken.

The return is not loud at first. It is clean. It is sharp. It restores what was fragmented. It judges what was compromised. It fills the ones who stayed faithful when almost no one else would. In these days the Spirit is not looking for the impressive. He is looking for the pure. And where He finds even one who will not bow to the false light, He begins to rest again.

That is the lack. That is the return. The difference is measured by how much truth a person is willing to carry when it costs everything.
