Test From God: What Is the Square Root of 25?

I had a dream last night that I was in a classroom. I was sitting in a tiny hallway, and I felt claustrophobic. I decided to move toward the end of the hallway so I could be more open and free.

I was taking a test. I was sitting next to some other students, and they were talking. One asked the teacher, “I have a question! Why is this world so crappy? Why is the economy about to collapse?” I replied, “It’s the end of the world!” Another more charismatic student started talking about something else, and everyone ignored my comment. I was a little annoyed that I still had to take the test even though it all felt useless.

The test question was, “What is the square root of 25?” I was thinking about it, struggling a little, and then I woke up.

When I woke up I prayed to God and he told me to go to the Greek’s strong concordance (I asked him specifically whether to use Hebrew or Greek), and to look up the meaning of the numbers. Here is what I found:

Transliteration: Abba

Phonetic Spelling: (ab-bah')

Definition: Abba, father

Usage: Abba, Father.

So, the message to me in the dream was: the root of loving others is loving our Father first. Wow! Perfect square = perfect love.

Despite the world ending and me feeling frustrated, in order to pass the test, I need to first love the Father, and through that love, I need to continue to love others. To note, I’ve been praying about my difficulty loving others at times, and I believe God was responding specifically to this prayer.

We cannot truly love anyone until we love the Father first. Do you see why the world struggles with this concept of love? They don’t have the love of the Father in their hearts, and therefore, their love is incomplete.

However, for perfect love, we must first love our Father (abba) and then we can love others more perfectly. As Jesus said in one of my favorite verses:

30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’[a] 31 The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[b] There is no commandment greater than these.”

In other words, God was reminding me, and perhaps all of you reading (because He knew I’d write it out) of the Law of the Prophets.

I was also reminded of the verse 1 John 4: 8:

Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

As we get lost in this world of confusing doctrines, we need to go back to our love of the Father first. Do we love God? Do we show Him our love? Do we seek Him FIRST?

I believe if we do that first, the rest comes. We show our love of God by loving others as ourselves (our actions).

Yes, it is the end of the world, but we still have a mission to love God and love others daily.
