A Sermon From Witness 1: What Does God Hate?

Hello everyone – the following is a sermon that I gave last week in our real-life ministry. I hope you all enjoy it, and I added a secondary take with my thoughts on suicide to go along with what Witness 2 posted last night.

You may have noticed that I post less than her. In some regards, I feel that I have said everything I want to say. Unlike other ministries, we are not doing this to make money, to gain followers, or make a name for ourselves. We are purely doing this because we believe that what we say is the truth.

In that sense, I don’t write anything unless I feel that it is vitally important to facilitate understanding of the world we live in today. I won’t write anything just to write things and put content out like most other sites and blogs out there who are obsessed with SEO, gaining readers, etc. Everything I write is written for a specific purpose because God led me to write it.

So, like I’ve said before, I want to encourage our readers on this blog to read our key writings and books, if you haven’t yet. Books like The More Rational Worldview, Scientism: The One World Religion You’ve Been Waiting For, The Two Witnesses: Theology, Ontology, and Eschatology, and The Mark of the Beast Anthology contain proportionally more writing of mine than hers, while the blog is more her writing than mine.

At a certain point, I have said all that I have to say, and the only remaining thing to do is wait to see if we are right or wrong. However, I do write and give sermons every week for our real-life ministry, and I will now post two of those, one from last week and one from today.

Introduction: How to Pray

Witness 2 and I were asked a strange question from a member of this ministry recently - ‘can I pray to Allah’?

The answer to this, for the Christian, is a conclusive ‘No’. Allah is a false God, part of a deceptive and fraudulent religion. Contrary to what you often hear, the God of Islam is NOT the same God of that of Judaism and Christianity. Those who say that He is, are disingenuously lying.

This is simple to deduce, and it’s astounding that more people can’t figure this out. The way to tell which of the two options is real between Christianity and Islam is to examine which one came first. They make very similar claims, so we can simply examine which one appeared in the historical record first, and clearly the other one is simple a rip off, a cheap imitation or copy of the first one.

The historical record is unambiguously clear - Islam appeared several hundred years after Christianity, making it an obvious Satanic deception designed to lead huge swathes of what should have been God’s people to hell.

It has been incredibly successful in this and has caused uncountable levels of damage throughout history. Do not fall for the lies of Islam. If you made a painting, and then a few years later someone painted the exact same scene, using the same colors, themes, and characters, with some incredibly minor changes, which painting would you consider the “authentic” one?

The choice is clear. On top of this, there are many other good reasons to believe this, such as the inherently evil, violent, and destructive nature of Islam compared to Christianity, and the fact that their “Jesus” ripoff character, the murdering warlord Muhammed, married a six-year old:

These are not the actions of a Holy man or a true Prophet.

Islam has none of the markers of truth that I talk about with Christianity - fulfilled prophecy, intertext codes, historical attestation, archeological evidence, divinely inspired knowledge, etc.

For example, the extremely credible resurrection of Jesus Christ, supported by the historical inductive arguments I have given, compared to Muhammed flying off to heaven on a horse which no scholars, academics, or historians consider to be even the slightest bit credible.

So, remember, we are NOT Jews, we are NOT Messianic Jews, we are NOT Muslims. We are CHRISTIANS.

This means we pray to Jesus Christ only. Whatever the name for Jesus is in your language, or use English if you prefer, use that name to pray.

There is no need to complicate things. Pray to God, through Jesus.

“Dear God”, or “Dear Heavenly Father”, “In the name of Jesus Christ we pray”, just like that.

Next, for the topic of this sermon I want to look at the things that God hates.

Proverbs 6:16-19

There are six things the Lord hates,

seven that are detestable to him:

haughty eyes,

a lying tongue,

hands that shed innocent blood,

a heart that devises wicked schemes,

feet that are quick to rush into evil,

a false witness who pours out lies

and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.

1. Haughty Eyes

This refers to thinking you are better than other people or looking at them with derision. In God’s eyes, humanity is equal. Until Judgement Day, when Jesus Christ separates the sheep from the goats, we are all equal. Only He is qualified and authorized to perform this judgement, none of us are.

Even after this judgement, those in heaven will be equal. There will not be a ‘greatest’ in heaven, and indeed, ‘the first will be last and the last will be first’ in heaven.

Do not be arrogant or think you are better than anyone, even the lowliest sinner, this is a thing that God hates.

2. A lying tongue

This one is fairly self-explanatory. God always wants you to be honest. Do not tell lies and do not bear false witness against your neighbor.

Even when it is painful or results in consequences for you, you must always tell the truth. Do not do things you have to lie about, and there will be no need to tell lies. An honest person will have a much easier time before God on judgement day.

One of the few statements containing some wisdom that I’ve heard from an American pastor is, “You are only as sick as your secrets.”

3. Hands that shed innocent blood.

It’s easy to see the many parallels between these verses and the ten commandments, and in some ways these verses are a summary of them, but without the Old Testament theological commandments such as the worship of idols.

These verses are about our actions, and are things that people of any religion, even those who never heard of the Bible, instinctively know are wrong.

We all know that it’s wrong to kill innocent people, and yet how many billions of people throughout history have been innocently slaughtered?

Even those that kill in the name of God are wrong. This does not cover lawful killing, such as self-defense.

4. A heart that devises wicked schemes.

This has to do with your inner nature and being. Who are you deep down inside? What are the things you spend your time thinking about, worshiping, and focusing on? Are you always thinking about ways to get ahead, even at the expense of others, or are you thinking about ways you can help others or serve God?

This verse indicts many people in power today. Instead of focusing on ways to reduce inequality and poverty in the world, all they can do is come up with wicked schemes to enrich themselves, gain more power, and keep profits rising at all costs.

ALL modern corporations, CEOs, and politicians are guilty of possessing hearts full of nothing but wicked schemes.

5. Feet that are quick to rush into evil

This has to do with your strength of character. We are all surrounded with and tempted by evil, the question is: what will you do about it? Will you give into temptation, or will you immediately agree to your friend’s ideas that you know are wrong?

Will you stand up for what’s right, or do you immediately give in and do what you know is wrong, in order to fit in or gain something for yourself?

When you see or encounter evil, call it out, and avoid it. Do not be quick to rush towards evil, but turn away from it.

In the verses immediately before this section, we read what happens to those who are quick to rush into evil:

A troublemaker and a villain,

who goes about with a corrupt mouth,

who winks maliciously with his eye,

signals with his feet

and motions with his fingers,

who plots evil with deceit in his heart—

he always stirs up conflict.

Therefore disaster will overtake him in an instant;

he will suddenly be destroyed—without remedy.

6. A false witness who pours out lies

This is similar to the “lying tongue” line but carries several connotations.

A source I found explains the difference between them well:

Shift of Emphasis and Focus
The same Hebrew word (שֶׁ֫קֶר; shěqěr)1 is used for both "lying" and "false" in those verses from the ESV, so there is a definite relationship between them, but also a difference of emphasis.
Note how the first five abominations relate to things done with the body (eyes, tongue, hands, heart, feet). These focus on "parts" of a person being used for specific sinful actions, and poetically reflect the inner person's will and desire to do these things.
In the case of a "lying tongue" (v.17), it makes a very generic statement about speaking falsehood of any kind, while pointing as well to the person's will and desire to so lie.
However, the last two abominations escalate the issues, because they actually reflect a combining of the previous five abominations,2 with the focus not on the part of the person so doing it (nor the inner self), but on those maliciously affected by the sins.
Now "false witness" (v.19; עֵ֣ד שָׁ֑קֶר; ʿēḏ shěqěr)3 itself can reflect the generic idea of "lying" (for one can be a false witness about oneself or another), but the focus of the idea of false witness is toward another person (Ex 20:16), especially in the context of being judged by a third party (legally or otherwise). Lying about oneself or some thing deceives others (and falls under "lying tongue"), but lying about another person before others not only deceives, but it affects that other person's reputation to others, and can cause those judging to not judge rightly about the morality, character, and actions of the one being lied about.
This one "breathes out lies" (יָפִ֣יחַ כְּ֭זָבִים; yāp̄îaḥ kāzāḇîm).4 The focus here is on the act itself, not just the tongue that does it (and the inner self that desires to lie). Here the lie becomes spoken in a false testimony toward another person.
All false witnessing is a lie, but not all lies are false witnesses in the sense that not all lies affect the reputation of other persons and the judgment of that person in the sight of still other people.

Before the final one, I will read an excerpt from one more source on these verses which sums them up well and explains the discrepancy some may have noticed between “six things God hates” and “seven he finds an abomination”

7. One who sows discord among brethren

i. Most of these sins are connected to something we do, in or through our body. The eyes have a proud look, the tongue lies, and so on. We are again reminded of what Paul wrote in Romans about presenting the parts of our body (our members) to God for the work of righteousness, not sin (Romans 6:13).
ii. This collection of seven sins is also focused on how we treat others. We must honor God and worship Him in spirit and in truth, yet God is also concerned about how we treat others. Each of these are serious sins against others.
c. One who sows discord among brethren: This is presented as the result of the previous six or the ultimate among them. It is one of the highest among the things that God hates and regards as an abomination.
i. “Seventh, the one who unleashes conflicts (Proverbs 6:14) again climactically brings the catalogue to its conclusion.” (Waltke)
ii. Adam Clarke describes this one as “he who troubles the peace of a family, of a village, of the state; all who, by lies and misrepresentations, strive to make men’s minds evil-affected towards their brethren.”
iii. “None love a mischief-maker, and yet we are apt to think of the sin with something less than the Divine intolerance for it. We may take it as an unqualified certainty that no man in whose heart the fear of Jehovah prevails and rules, can ever sow discord among brethren.” (Morgan)
iv. “A withering blast will fall on those who, mistaking prejudice for principle, cause divisions for their own selfish ends (Romans 16:17-18).” (Bridges)

The Blue Letter Bible Commentary describes this list as “A catalogue of those things which are in a special manner odious to God”, because “there are some sins which he does in a special manner hate; and all those here mentioned are such as are injurious to our neighbour. It is an evidence of the good-will God bears to mankind that those sins are in a special manner provoking to him which are prejudicial to the comfort of human life and society.”

The Ten Commandments reign supreme as the guide to human morality, but there are two which no longer stand: in a time when our fathers and mothers do not honor us, we cannot honor them, and the Sabbath law was abolished by Jesus.

Moses’ Law (10 Commandments Included) Has Been Done Away In Christ

The 10 Commandments were written and engraved on stones. Ex 32:15,16 The new covenant of Christ, on the other hand, was “written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in tables that are hearts of flesh” 2 Cor. 3:3 Furthermore, what was written on stone (the 10 Commandments), was a killing law, i.e., led to death because of human disobedience, while the new covenant of the Spirit is a life-giving ministration 2 Cor. 3:7 In that same context, Paul says that this old covenant has passed away; it has been replaced by that which possesses a greater and superior glory 2 Cor.3:11 The law of Moses has been abolished: “. . . having abolished in the flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; that he might create in himself of the two one new man, so making peace Eph. 2:15 Christ, through his cross, “blotted out the bond written in ordinances” of the old law:” “Having blotted out the bond written in ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us: and he has taken it out of the way, nailing it to the cross” Col. 2:14 The Sabbath law, along with the rest of Moses’ law, was taken away by the cross of Jesus.

However, the other commandments still stand:

· No gods before God

· No idols

· Do not take the Lord’s name in vain

· No murder, adultery, theft, lying, or coveting

While these still stand, the verses in Proverbs are an excellent way to further understand how God wants us to conduct ourselves in the world and how to live well as a Christian.

Take careful heed of them.

To conclude, I want to answer the question further - have our parents honored us?

What we have seen over the last century has been the greatest intellectual and moral failure in the history of mankind. Indeed, if there is even a written history left after the baby boomers have finished wreaking their destruction on the world, they will go down as the most inept, impotent, brainwashed, and materialistic generation in history. The terminally-distracted generations of the 20th century were impassioned exclusively by meaningless, goal-shifting pipe dreams, pumped into their heads by their only true love, the television.

This enabled them solely to think in the form of mystical buzzwords that were spoon-fed to them by their moral bankrollers, the politicians and media. They idly daydreamed about “peace”, and “love”, while under their noses a hostile and malevolent international criminal syndicate performed a successful takeover of the U.S. Government, and soon, the world. Under these generations’ stewardship, the economy of the world became a casino, in which value is as meaningless and formless as their conception of morality. The generations alive during the 20th century are the truest form of Saturn, the abhorrent deity who eats his children - feasting like vampires upon the wealth of the world, and enabling a vast transfer of wealth to the elite such that their children will receive nothing but crumbs, and a polluted, destitute planet.

Indeed, we saw what was once the richest and most prosperous generation and country in history reduced to nothing but a sickly parody of what it once was, and this destruction not only unresisted, but enthusiastically cheered on by the public. Never in history has a civilization squandered so much, and received so little.

The older generations of this planet have failed so miserably to upkeep it that they have literally ushered in the Biblical apocalypse. Their new bio-security state, and their beloved “terrorist” security theatre will never go away, leaving humanity forever stuck with tangible, physical reminders of these weak, cowardly, and impotent generations - physical and spiritual shackles that have forever doomed the world to a perpetual serf class.

This obsession with rules and “safety” has created a world akin to a perverted kindergarten, in which we are constantly dictated to by our psychotic overlords about what we can and cannot do - all for our own good, and public safety, of course.

They smiled and clapped, cheered even, as the wealth of the world coagulated into a dark mass, and set about enslaving the remainder of the population. They not only supported, but wholeheartedly believed in their own creation mythology, the mythos of the “World Wars”. These bankers’ wars were insane moral and intellectual travesties that served no purpose but the utter destruction of a large part of the world, and the common people, while enriching the few.

As if they weren’t satisfied with the sheer stupidity of destroying the European continent, they thunderously applauded the brazenly Faustian and Quixotic wars of the decades since then, such as the Iraq and Vietnam debacles.

They sat in front of their televisions every evening, nodding and frowning along with the emotional cues used to program them, agreeing with the celebrities and media figures they liked, and disparaging the controlled opposition of the “other side”. Indeed, they still, to this very day, can’t see beyond the false dichotomy of the two-party system, to the monolithic, monstrous entity that has raped the world, and left its corpse as feed for carrion.

We have seen in the 20th century events analogous to the four horsemen of the apocalypse. These are generations that love war, spread spiritual famine and political madness, and bankrupt morality for fun. They have not loved the truth; therefore, God has sent them a strong delusion pushed to them by the celebrities, politicians, and media that they love, adore, and worship so much. In their complacency and weakness, they have signed their own death warrants, and caused the destruction of the world. These lukewarm Christians quote the Bible, and listen to their pastors telling them what is and isn’t Biblical prophecy, but they never even really read it.

Instead of wisdom, the epitaph on their tombstone will read — Here lies the Boomer:

I am become death, destroyer of worlds.

Finally, I’d like to close with another word on suicide, to add on to what Witness 2 wrote yesterday.

If you spend a good amount of time reading online, like I do, or you are fairy plugged into the right-wing media outlets (be very, very careful here as they are extremely deceptive in their own ways), you’ve probably come across the sad tale of the Alabama mayor, pastor, and vocal Trump supporter Bubba Copeland, who recently killed himself after he was exposed by right-wing media as carrying on a perverted and obscene double life as either a cross dresser or transgender individual.

Now, we don’t condone paraphilias or deviant sexualities. No one should be doing these things, and if you can’t commit to a monogamous, heterosexual relationship between one man and one woman, then you’re not having sex within the bounds laid out by the Bible, and you need to do what many people have done throughout history and commit to celibacy instead.

However, this isn’t my point here. My point is that no matter what this person had done, or how perverted and sick their fantasies were, there is nothing so bad that it cannot be forgiven by Jesus Christ.

No one knows his mental state at the time of his suicide, and it’s impossible to say if he died in a repentant state or now. However, suicide itself is a grave sin, equivalent to self-murder in the eyes of God, and personally I would never take such a risk.

If he was unrepentant, he took away from himself his chance to repent and receive salvation. If he was repentant, he made things way worse by taking the extreme action of killing himself.

Let me be clear – this person’s suicide is not a victory for anyone, especially not the Christian. No one should be gloating about this, and this is not the type of ministry that sees this as a good thing. It’s a horrible tragedy. He should not have been living a double life like this, but killing himself made everything way worse in the eyes of God.

He could have made things right, dropped his secret double life, repented, and lived as an excellent example of how to overcome sin and sexual perversion. Instead, he ended his life prematurely, and as the Bible says, “It is appointed man once to die and then the judgement”. Once you are dead, it’s too late to repent anymore.

Some of his last words on Earth were, “I know I'm not a handsome man or a beautiful woman either”, which goes to illustrate the depth of this person’s mental illness. There’s so much more to life than simply being an attractive person, but now he will never have the chance to find that out.

So, like Witness 2 said, never kill yourself. God wants you to tough it out to the bitter end, and you’re guaranteed to die anyways when it is your time. No one escapes death in the end, so there’s no point rushing into it.

In God’s eyes, the sexual perversion in this person’s life was a grave sin, and a disgusting mistake, especially the dishonesty and lying by being a pastor while doing so. However, none of it was unforgivable. Jesus can even forgive and save people caught in the deepest, darkest depths of sin.

On the other hand, his suicide sealed his fate. However he was when he died, that is how he will be when he is judged. On top of these extreme sins, he now has to face judgement for the act of suicide, which is definitely not going to help anything.

I want to point out that the church, Republicans, and Trump supporters all share responsibility for his suicide. As a whole, we have become incredibly hateful, in no small part due to the toxic, poisonous filth that the anti-Christ, Donald Trump, has spewed into the theological atmosphere of America.

Be very careful here. One way you can know Trump is the anti-Christ, besides all the evidence we’ve already laid out, is the fact that he has laid a deadly rot, a poison, into the root of Christianity. The toxins that exist now in the American church because of Trump will continue to grow and seep into all aspects of Christianity, and I caution everyone to stay away from the hateful rhetoric and remember Jesus’s true words about the Law of Love.

We don’t have to condone lifestyles like this, but we should also not be so hateful that it drives people to suicide rather than simply admitting their faults and owning up to their mistakes.

In my sermon from today, I went over (hopefully for the last time) all the evidence we have about not following the Old Law and why Paul is a trustworthy apostle. In it, I also covered the Law of Love laid out by Jesus:

The Law of Love

Like I said last time, this is really surprising and amazing to me, in a bad way, that people are falling out of Christianity and into “Messianic Judaism”. Messianic Judaism is the belief that Jesus’s death and sacrifice on the cross is “not enough”, and that you must also follow the Old Testament laws, festivals, etc., like the Sabbath, to be saved.

This is a ridiculous, incorrect, and unsupported theology, and it’s funny, because everyone who chooses to believe this picks and chooses different versions of the Old Law that they want to follow. Indeed, there is no consensus on which ones, exactly, of the old law, consisting of over 600 different proscriptions and laws, the Messianic Jew should follow.

It’s obviously impossible to follow it entirely, as we don’t have a temple or a culture that is conducive to following it. Like I’ve pointed out, though, no one ever did follow it perfectly, because it was designed to be impossible. Except, of course, for Jesus.

The Law existed only as a mirror to teach us that we will all fall short of God and that no one can be saved through their own works. Anyone who wants to still follow it is completely missing the point.

This is basic Christian doctrine that any preacher or pastor will tell you. Unlike some other things we have said, this is not controversial, a fringe belief, or difficult to understand. This is literally the foundational belief of Christianity - that Jesus came to fulfill, or complete, the law.

If Jesus, Paul, and the disciples and early Christians had agreed that the Christian should still follow the Jewish power structures and laws, none of them would have been killed. Jesus would not have been labeled a heretic, Paul would not have been beheaded, and in fact, none of us would even know their names. Jesus would have been just another apocalyptic Jewish preacher, one of many wandering the Middle East at the time. What set him apart from the rest was his teaching that disrupted and enraged the Jewish power structures - that the law was fulfilled in him and that he had authority over it.

There’s a simple reason the Jews, and apparently people today, were and are so resistant to these new, radical ideas about the New Law - the Law of Love. The reason is that it is difficult to actually follow the ideals of Christianity.

It requires a concerted, conscious effort, day in and day out, every day of your life. Every interaction with people, and every thought you have, is subject to judgement under Christianity. Judaism, on the other hand, is merely a checklist to follow. The Jews followed a predictable pattern, generation after generation - I followed these rules, I sacrificed on these days, I went to the temple for the festivals, therefore I am better than you.

If there’s one thing people love, it’s sitting around debating about a list of rules and using it to look down on others and feel superior. They could not stand when Jesus came and told them that none of that really mattered, what mattered was what was in their heart and how they treated other people. This is really why they killed him - he called them out on their evil hearts and hypocrisy.

Christianity is not merely a simple checklist of rules. If you don’t have love in your heart for your fellow man, you will be out of luck. Do not be like the Pharisees and Sanhedrin of Jesus’s time, and do not be obsessed with following a set of do’s and don’ts. Yes, there are moral guidelines, regulations, and proscriptions in Christianity, but it is a religion meant for a mature humanity.

The Christian is supposed to be morally developed enough to treat others the way they want to be treated.

John 13:34-36

I give you a new law. That law is, "Love one another." As I have loved you, so you also love each other.

This is how all people will know that you are my disciples.'

This is the law of Jesus that Christians must follow in all aspects. This applies unconditionally, even to those who persecute, hate, and abuse us.

Yes, it is difficult to follow - which is why people often want to return to the list of things they avoid or the Sabbath law instead.

Jesus specifically calls out the Pharisees as followers of “the law”, but not practicioners of righteousness. They have the law, but they are lawless.

This is the key to Christianity - its childlike simplicity. It is not an elitist theology that is difficult to understand. There are no huge lists of rules and laws to spend lifetimes, generations, debating over and over. That was the true love of the Pharisees - being “masters” of the Law and using it as a tool to abuse, subjugate, and denigrate people while making themselves feel superior.

So, I hope this helped clear up why we believe what we do, and why we feel so strongly about this Messianic Jewish deception. If Christianity was about just following the Jewish laws and customs, Jesus wouldn’t have even had to exist.

We could still just have a Pharisee class, lording it over the rest of us while they lounge in their temples, living off the backs of the common people, wasting their lives away in endless debates over lists of rules and proscriptions that are never fulfilled.

Instead, we have Jesus - a wandering, homeless preacher who eschewed the trappings of the flesh and preached an exciting, unheard of, and radical new theology - that of LOVE being the Law.

The Law of Love is difficult to follow. Jesus tells in Matthew 5:43-45:

You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy. ' But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven.

Wow! People have a really hard time with this. In fact, they hate it. People can’t stand this theology, because it is so opposed to all of our instincts and desires to naturally hate those who persecute us. However, in keeping with the theme of this verse, we pray for those who have been deceived by Satan into rejecting Jesus’s teachings and choosing to revert to the Old Law and the way of the Pharisees. May God grant them the wisdom they need to overcome it and find true salvation.
