It's Been Over 2,000 Years...And They Still Don't Get Jesus

As they confine Jesus Christ into a box, they just do not get it. That's why His wrath is coming. People have had enough time, and this post outlines how people have failed Jesus and love itself (because He is love). This is connected to Minneapolis, as well, if you want a refreshing word on that. (Art Credit Witness 1) - He's back!!!!!!!!!!!
Introduction
I was a teacher for many years, and I worked in some of the most impoverished areas, in areas one could claim are "difficult."
I have to admit it was not easy, and after my first year of teaching, I wanted out. It was atrocious. The kids mistreated me. I went home crying every night. I had a wake-up call - life was not all sunshine and rainbows - and can't we see that now with the events unfolding in Minneapolis? It will only get worse in the world. However, we are not of the world.
Going back to teaching, I decided to give it one more chance - not to quit. I spent the summer studying research-based articles on classroom management, and I reflected on what I did wrong. It turns out, upon reflection, I did not have proper love and boundaries in my classroom. I had to change things, and I did.
My second year was golden. It was a beautiful year. I wasn't a perfect teacher, but I started to understand operating in love and boundaries and how to rear children of all ages. I still remember those students. I loved them and still do. Maybe one day they will see me, but I am sure many will be against me in the future. Why? I am going to stand for things in front of the world that may go against their programming. Or who knows? Maybe I planted a seed. Maybe they will remember.
As years progressed, I continued into teaching, getting better each year, until I was acknowledged as one of the best. This is not to brag, but it's important to this testimony. The testimony relates to the microcosm of my classroom and how it reflects the world, how people get love wrong, and what people are not getting about Minneapolis.
The Golden Rule
Over the years, I would sit in thousands of meetings, with teachers fighting about if students should chew gum or be allowed to wear hoodies. None of this was unimportant. Rules are important. But they always got it wrong. They always started with the rules. They never started with love.
Let me caution here. This is not to stay to start with love and have no rules; however, one cannot have proper rules without love. Rules never make sense without love. That's why people hate most rules. They are made without love.
In every meeting, I rarely found love. It was always rules for rules' sake. Or measures for district's sake. Or something for someone's ego. It was never about love.
I once heard, "You cannot control the world, but you can control your own classroom." So that's what I did. I decided to apply Biblical principles to my classroom without being blatant about it. They always fit in the secular world, so I was not violating church and state. I made my 5 classroom rules, and the first one was always "The Golden Rule." The others: Be responsible, be respectful, be positive, be kind (or some variation of those each year). Honestly, the others fall under the Golden Rule anyway.
The Golden Rule is said in many religions, but in Christianity, it is 1) Love God with all your heart and others as yourself. Obviously, I could not command students to love God, but I could tell them how to love each other. How do we ultimately show God we love Him? How we treat others. So, that is what I did. I spent all year building their character and enforcing this love - not only in what I modeled but what I expected of them.
Guess what? It worked. I did not even need other rules. Really, I didn't. Here and there, something would go wrong, and we would have reminders, but we had freedom in love. Students knew the boundaries, and they knew when they were pushing them too far. After 15+ years in education, I stopped having any behavior issues. Even in schools where teachers would say were impossible to teach in - even in the "worst" areas - I had success.
The secret was not just the "Golden Rule" but that I was not a hypocrite. I did what I expected. I wanted them to work hard? So did I. Wanted them not to complain? I didn't. I wanted them to be positive. So, I was.
Have you ever heard the expression, "Rules for thee - not for me." That is Christianity right now. Everyone wants this for themselves, but they do not want it for others. Everyone wants to post Bible verses about Jesus, but they do not want to act like Him. Everyone wants the gifts of the Holy Spirit, but they never want to love others. They only want things for themselves. They never model it. As Jesus would say, they are hypocrites.
Connection to Minneapolis
We are at the time of lawlessness, when because the people's hearts have grown cold, the world has grown lawless. This was prophesied in 2 Timothy 3. We are in the terrible times.
Everyone is shouting for justice, but they do not get it. They never had justice. They modeled it themselves. I am not here to say anything about the politics of it. I am here to say this: This is what happens when the world has lost love.
The brutality we see? How is it a surprise to anyone? The loss of rights? Everyone gave them up during Covid. We still have them, but everyone forgot what they were. Now, they are trying to reclaim them, but it is not going to work out that way. Not ultimately.
The only freedom we have left is in Christ and in His love. In that, we are not bound by the beast.
Yet, you all reading, you're still hypocrites. You want all of this perfection, all of this love, but you never give it back. You never forgive. You never have mercy. You have a list of grudges. Yet, you pray to Jesus, and you want to know why your life isn't the way it should be.
He answers through people like me, but you sit their naming my perceived flaws. How can you really know me or understand what I have been through? If I am who I say I am, I have died on a cross daily - whether it be through injustice, electromagnetic warfare, abandonment, betrayal, torture, abuse, or something else.
The only answer is true love with discipline. We cannot have love without discipline, and that's what you all tried to do. That's why Minneapolis is happening. There was a fake love, no discipline, and now the world is getting out of control. We are in the times of lawlessness, and Trump, the "man of lawlessness" brought this on through YOU.
So, please, I beg you to get out of the politics. The scrolling through articles is doing nothing. Come join our ministry. You walk in? I am not here to rebuke you for your past. I will welcome you, but I am going to train you how to operate in love.
