Are You Ready to Be Hated?

One of the most common questions I get from readers is this, "But what about my family? My family doesn't agree with my views."
Well, you probably are not going to like my answer, but let's start with some scripture.
According to Luke 12:51,
- 51 Do you think I came to bring peace on earth? No, I tell you, but division. 52 From now on there will be five in one family divided against each other, three against two and two against three. 53 They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law.”
The time is coming, and has already come for many, when you will be hated for your beliefs. If you follow the true path of Christianity, you will have many enemies in life.
This has been true for me, especially after becoming a Christian. When my father found out that I had decided to follow Jesus Christ, all hell broke loose in my family. I remember this moment profoundly.
My dad called me into the room and said he wanted to talk to me.
"I heard you were going to go to a Christian church on Sunday."
"Well, yeah, I'm definitely interested in it", I replied nervously.
"You know that all of the 'Jesus' stuff is ridiculous? The Bible is ridiculous. What about the verses that talk about the outrageous laws of the Old Testament? Surely you cannot follow those."
Now, here is where things got strange. I didn't know anything about the Bible at the time. This was before I started reading it and before I became baptized. So, I believe that Jesus Christ helped me out here when I made the next statement - something I knew nothing about at the time. I wasn't raised in Christianity, I never went to church, and there was no way I could have known this.
I said, "Well, what about the New Covenant of Jesus Christ? I am pretty sure that He came and abolished all of the Old Law and now He is the Law."
My dad got quiet. Then he said, "Well what about the 144,000? Is that all who can be saved?"
I said, "I'd have to look into that, but I know that Christians are the helpers. They are the ones that go out and help people after natural disasters and such. That's what I want to do."
He said, "Well I can't deny that, but I'm warning you. Following Jesus Christ is a huge mistake."
By the way, only the 144,000 being saved isn't true, which we wrote more about here, but I didn't know that at the time. Whenever you don't know something when arguing with a non-Christian, don't take it as defeat. Always say, "Let me check Scripture on that", and you will find an answer and can get back to them.
Going back to the conversation, it would literally change the course of our relationship. After that, I did start to seek Christ, and soon I was baptized. My relationship with my father completely fell apart, and honestly, to this day, most of my family really dislikes me, and that's putting it nicely.
I'm sure they would say they don't like me for other reasons besides Jesus Christ, but I know Jesus Christ had changed me and He is at the center of much of their dislike.
Since the time of finding Christ, I have lost many friends and family. I don't fit in most places, and while I have Christian friends, they are few. Witness 1 can vouch that I lost a lot of people in my life when I decided to truly follow Jesus Christ.
However, my life was replaced with people who do LOVE Jesus, and it is so joyful and fulfilling that I could never imagine returning to what it was before. I no longer have to constantly worry about impressing people who aren't going to like me anyway. Don't get me wrong - I still have to "act" at times to fit into society, but all in all, I am so much more peaceful with my life centered on Jesus Christ.
Still, this hatred is nothing compared to what is to come, and I want readers to prepare for that.
You can't love your family, you friends, and/or the world more than God. If you do, you do not truly follow Him. According to Luke 14:26
14:26 If any 1536 [man] come 2064 5736 to 4314 me 3165, and 2532 hate 3404 5719 not 3756 his 1438 father 3962, and 2532 mother 3384, and 2532 wife 1135, and 2532 children 5043, and 2532 brethren 80, and 2532 sisters 79, yea 2089, and 1161 his own 1438 life 5590 also 2532, he cannot 3756 1410 5736 be 1511 5750 my 3450 disciple 3101.
What this means is that if there is a point that you cannot willingly give up your loved ones for Jesus Christ, you probably don't really love Jesus.
I get it - this is a controversial post, and there is much to be said here. I am not telling you right now that you need to start hating everyone. Obviously, we need to look at that verse in context with the entire chapter in Bible. Here is biblical commentary that helps one understand the passage better:
- It is not so much the true explanation to say that hate here means love less (Genesis 29:31), as to say that when our nearest and dearest relationships prove to be positive obstacles in coming to Christ, then all natural affections must be flung aside; comp. Deuteronomy 13:6-9; Deu 21:19-21; Deu 33:8-9. A reference to Matthew 10:37 will shew that ‘hate’ means hate by comparison. Our Lord purposely stated great principles in their boldest and even most paradoxical form by which He alone has succeeded in impressing them for ever as principles on the hearts of His disciples. The ‘love of love’ involves a necessity for the possible ‘hate of hate,’ as even worldly poets have understood.
So, we aren't to go out and start hating anyone immediately; however, if anyone is hindering our relationship with Jesus, it is time to examine that relationship and if it is a necessity in your life.
Now, I understand many readers are in positions where they are in households with non-believers and such. I am not here to generalize any particular circumstance, and all I can say to you is to pray to God to reveal the best course of action for you. Every situation is different, and He may be setting up many of you to preach to non-believers in the coming difficult times.
As for my father, I recently told him that if he didn't love Jesus Christ as much as me, then I could not trust him or have a full relationship with him. For anybody who finds this harsh, my dad has been a difficult force in my life, and I honestly believe it is even possibly dangerous for me to speak to him for reasons of the occult and witchcraft. I do love him, I do forgive him, and he is my dad (actually, he may not be, but that's another story), but I have had to make a choice to fully follow Jesus Christ and do His will. This was not as difficult after I found out my dad may be doing some very evil things to me.
Still, not everyone is in my situation. Many of you have family and friends you love, who are even kind to you, but they are not believers - or, alternatively, they believe in some false Jesus Christ - one not of the Bible.
I am here to warn you that this is just the beginning, and this persecution is not surprising in these times.
Of course, I am not trying to make anyone nervous. When I put my entire trust in Jesus Christ, and I am fully following Him, I have nothing to fear. Unfortunately, people often forget part 2 - the following part - which is why they are fearful. You can't say you love Jesus and then just do nothing to follow Him. According to James 1:22 -25:
- 22 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. 23 Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror 24 and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. 25 But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.
So, there are a lot of people shouting how much they LOVE Jesus, but when the time comes, they won't be willing to truly follow Him and obey His commands. This time may be now. Jesus will then say, "I never knew you."
For many of you, you are already hated and outsiders, and this is not a problem for you. In fact, you may want to consider your isolation and loneliness a blessing for the times we are living in - if you want to look at it all positively. Remember, we are to rejoice when we are persecuted, as we are going to have many treasures in heaven!
In a moment, I'll come back to preparing for persecution, but I wanted to discuss the "false right persecution" I am seeing in the media currently.
False Right Christian Persecution
We have talked a lot about the "false light" right Christians who are following a false Jesus.
I have noticed lately that it has now become acceptable to speak against the LGBT movement, especially in mainstream churches and the media.
My question is this: Where were these pastors who are now speaking out 5 - 10 years ago?
From what I recall, very few churches would openly speak out against the LGBT issues because of the fear of persecution as recently as a few years ago. However, now that it is acceptable, every "Tom, Dick, and Harry" is coming out of the woodwork to speak out!
Witness 1 and I are not condoning the sins of the LGBT community; however, we have called everyone reading to pray for those who are trapped in this snare and never to mock these people. Again, we are not condoning the behaviors, but rather, we won't participate in mockery or overemphasis on it in our writing. We speak about it when necessary.
When I am browsing YouTube, every other ministry is speaking out against LGBT because now it is popular and okay to do so! I sincerely don't hear them talking about any other sins either. This is the sin du jour, and I am rolling my eyes.
Now that the media said it was okay to talk about, all the churches are doing it, and you have to ask yourself, why is it now acceptable?
The answer is simple. They use their Hegelian Dialectic tactics to further divide people into a left/right paradigm, and they create a "solution" to the problem they have started.
Open your eyes. They are using these issues to create a black and white issue regarding bodily autonomy. This isn't about the LGBT people at all! I will explain in a moment.
Do you think all of those pastors happily preaching about how terrible LGBT people are is helping anyone at all? No. I would gather to say nobody is being changed that way. I can vouch we have a gay reader who has changed his heart because of our help and writing, though. We never made fun of him, and we never would. We love him as a brother in Christ, and I hope if he is reading this, he is doing well. I know he still struggles, but we are rooting for him through Jesus Christ!
See - that is the attitude we need to have. When this brother emailed me, we treated him with compassion, though we also told him the truth. He is very intelligent, and he was able to handle it.
Going back to the agenda, just like the Roe v. Wade fiasco, they are turning this into an issue where you have to make a black and white choice. I am not the only one who has figured this out:
Think of it this way. When it comes to the trans issues, if you start telling them they can't do "gender affirming" surgery on kids, then, well they are going to turn this into, "Well, you don't have a right to your body either! You need to get vaccinated!"
For most intelligent people reading, we understand that what they are spouting is an unfair choice. Just because you don't support gender affirming surgery for kids doesn't mean you don't support bodily autonomy for adults. This is a false dilemma fallacy where they are going to offer only two options to the public regarding bodily autonomy. You are either for or against them, and that will be that.
So, what I am getting at is this is all being done intentionally. Remember, they don't care about LGBT people and they never did! They are using LGBT people as a tool, and if you are an LGBT person reading this, deeply consider how you are being used as a political tool.
True Christians can see through this "false right light", and I really have to remind you: If the media is advocating for something, BE SUSPICIOUS! Like in the Wizard of Oz, try to see the man behind the curtain, but in our world, it is Satan himself pulling the strings.
Going back to persecution, if you are able to publicly broadcast all of your views in from of millions of people without any fear for repercussions, you are probably not being persecuted.
Now that is "safe" to stand up against LGBT issues, everyone is doing so, when they should have been doing this years ago.
Here is one thing I bet you can't talk about though: the vaccine! Imagine bringing up the vaccine and what you really think about it with your loved ones. If you have, I bet it hasn't gone well, and if you haven't, there's probably a reason why.
I know I have alienated many of my loved ones over this issue of the vaccine, but I stand by what I say, even though it is not popular. In fact, Witness 1 can vouch that I have always been like this, which is why I have created many enemies over the years. However, if God is for me, who can be against me?
Now, let me humble myself for a moment. I definitely am not perfectly courageous or fearless. However, I am saying that when I have truly stood with Jesus Christ, I have never regretted it - even when it meant losing people and things in my life.
If I were to never have stood up for Jesus, I would have never met Witness 1 and have the life I have. I would be a miserable shell of who I am now. Jesus Christ always makes things better, even if you end up losing things in the process.
So, before someone reads this and starts telling their whole family they hate them, that's not what this post is about. This post is about preparing yourself to be hated, and maybe, that starts now. Maybe the opportunity will strike where you have no choice but to speak the truth and your best friend decides not to talk to you. Maybe that is a choice you are going to have to make soon.
Later, you might have to risk your life for the truth. That is coming. Still, do not live in fear. Nothing is worth losing our souls, and in the end, life is but a mist. It will all be worth it for eternal life in Jesus Christ. Honestly, this world sucks anyway. Are you really that afraid to lose it? I bet most reading are parting ways with much of the world, as it has little value anymore.

Thoughts, Mindset, and Skills to Prepare for These End Times

For this short essay, I am going to list a few basic skills to work on for the days ahead. If you are in a country that doesn’t allow certain types of gear like traps, or guns, then figure out the next best thing you can obtain. I highly recommend researching the history of your people and area, and how they survived before industrialization. For example, If you are an Arab, research the Bedouin. If you are a Mexican, research your cowboys and wranglers. If you are an American or westerner, the trapper is your best bet. No matter where you are, you can find information on how your ancestors lived. Combine this information with training you can find for free on YouTube and the internet while you still can. They are going to shut off or control the internet in some way in the future, as they have already admitted to this at the WEF and other globalist conferences. Books are king.
You need to develop the mindset of of the modern hunter-gatherer. They are planning to starve us out, so start training yourself to look for food everywhere as well as practicing fasting for survival. You can only save so much food before it goes bad, and having a retreat full of food doesn’t guarantee survival. You could very well have your homestead raided or burned down by starving people or gangs. Having the skills to give yourself food and medicine means you can remain mobile and avoid evil people, as well as help people in need. There will be many innocents who will need the truth and salvation of The Lord, and it doesn’t do them any favors if you are dead or too weak to help them get it. The sheer scale of our global system collapsing in on itself will induce levels of misery one cannot imagine. The time to get ready is now.
Physical fitness
The first thing you need to work on is getting in shape. While its fun to deadlift 500 pounds, get a six pack or bulging biceps from the gym, this wont be applicable to our mission. We are going for endurance. Imagine long hikes and walks, carrying a load or backpack with your gear. Imagine climbing things, foraging things, running from the enemy, sprinting from cover to cover while slinging lead to protect your family and friends. Absolute strength is useful, but you need endurance to last in the field. I have personal experience with this from being a recon marine. I was too big and heavy from lifting weights and my running suffered as a result. You need a balanced level of fitness. If you are out of shape, I highly recommend looking into progressive calisthenics. Books like Convict Conditioning and the Youtube channel Al Kavadlo will be all you need to get started for strength. The premise of this type of training is starting with easier body weight exercises and building up to harder and harder movements such as one-arm pullups, squats and pushups. The reason why I recommend this type of training is that it requires no equipment except something to hang on to (I used a tree branch in a park for awhile) and you can do it anywhere. In case you do have to live on the run or you are banned from society, you will always have an option to train. This, combined with running, sprints and hiking with a pack will give you all fitness ability you need. I no longer go to the gym anymore and train just about every day.
Foraging and Herbalism
This is self explanatory. I started learning foraging a little over a year ago. In almost every environment you can find edible plants near you, especially in the US. Find 2-3 field guides to take with you to verify what you are looking for. Look up Youtubers. There are many channels that have hundreds of videos. The fastest way I learned foraging was through using YouTube and scanner apps on my phone like PictureThis. Those apps are accurate a large percentage of the time, but you still need to check your books before eating plants. They greatly accelerate learning and save time instead of flipping through pages in your books trying to get an initial ID. I went on walks before work, and paid attention to sidewalks, parks, roads and other places and made it a game to see how many I can recognize. You will be very surprised at how fast you can learn to identify plants. I believe this is an innate feature God put into us, as he made us to have dominion over animals and the Earth. When I walk anywhere now, I see food everywhere. People will think you are kooky, but you are honing a vital skill. Many of these plants have medicinal properties as well. You are better off starting to just learn to identify them before getting into wildcrafting(making foods and medicine). If you are in the US, I highly recommend all the books from Sam Thayer, especially his new field guide. It is “The one foraging book to rule them all”, as there is nothing like it on the market. Compared to old manuals that have 200-300 plants, it has 675 plants with superb photos and unique info. He is the leading expert on foraging in America.
Trapping
Notice I didn’t list hunting next. That is because trapping is superior to hunting for getting food, especially with steel traps and aircraft cable snares. Traps are silent, do not require years of experience like hunting, can work 24/7 for you without getting tired and can be extremely effective if you find the right runs and game trails. You can also trap fish, turtles, birds and pretty much any animal that exists. The key terrain feature that you want to find to be as effective as possible is water. Any creeks, rivers, lakes, and the ocean will attract animals. Look for the trails and runs leading to these bodies of water.
When food becomes scarce, everyone will be heading to rural areas to shoot any food they can find. Animals will stop foraging during the day and become paranoid. Traps will allow you to catch these animals at night. It will also be safer for you as you only need to make your sets and hide, whereas if you hunt you risk crossing other humans. The hunting you do will primarily be opportunistic when foraging or setting traps.
Also, bushcraft traps are worthless. Deadfalls take too much time and energy, and you will have a hard time building them and hiding them. Homemade snares from rope or cordage are simply not strong enough for many species. This video explains this well. The number one resource on trapping that I recommend is the YouTube channel TheMeatTrapper. He provides outstanding tutorials on the different types of traps to use, snaring, how to make snares, how to catch land and water animals and much more. He has a Patreon that is also highly worth it, with a treasure trove of knowledge that you won’t find anywhere else. Newt Sterlings book Survival Snaring is a must read as well.
First Aid
I am not a medical expert. However, I still have multiple medkits and books for reference. Two books I have that I recommend is Where There is No Doctor, and Where There is No Dentist. Learn TCCC from the various books that can be bought online. I also recommend getting as many herbal remedy and healing books as you can. Medicine will eventually be hard to come by, so learning how to make our own will be critical. Get fish antibiotics for emergencies while you still can. Check the labels and make sure there are no other ingredients but the antibiotic. Here is a website you can learn more from here.
Weapons
If you cannot buy a gun, I recommend getting a crossbow or bow. A takedown crossbow or bow will allow you to travel with it in a pack with no one knowing. Survival Archery Systems makes excellent bows for this purpose; I have three of their models. Beware, though, a bow requires a significant amount of practice to become effective. Crossbows do not require as much practice; however they are heavier than bows. While I do not have one, I have heard good things about the Excalibur Micro 340 TD.
Slingshots can be made out of almost any material imaginable. I recommend flat bands, over the top configuration with .44 lead ammo being the best ammo. Tube bands suck in my opinion. .50 steel ball bearings can be used for practice, but watch out for ricochets. They can be used to stealthily hunt small game around towns and cities. This is a skill you can practice now even if you don’t live in the country. Make sure to bring small plastic bags and a knife so that you can gut your prize after your kill so that it doesn’t spoil. The PPMG+ is my favorite slingshot. Air rifles are a fantastic option as well for hunting. The Benjamin Marauder pistol can be setup into a folding carbine with the right mods, is silent and hits hard. It is a bit expensive however.
I recommend stacking .22 ammo, and getting a takedown .22 rifle. AR-7s are cheap, surprisingly accurate, and very light weight. The storing of all of its parts in the stock is very convenient. It also uses magazines, which allows for quick follow-on shots. .22 ammo itself is lightweight and can kill deer with the right shot placement. 12 gauge shotguns are useful for their versatility and can be used for self defense to taking down every kind of game imaginable. They have a huge variety of ammo. They are generally more accessible and common due to being legal in most countries.
If you are in America or any country that has accessibility to them, you absolutely need a semi automatic fighting rifle. Pick whatever works for you. I have a preference for the AR-15 platform. However, I believe a good pistol is more important than a rifle. Walking around with a rifle when things get bad except during straight SHTF scenarios could be a death sentence. Gangs, militias, the military, hungry people and more will be taking control all over the country when it gets bad enough. Dressing like a wannabe special forces operator will be a quick way to get shot or kidnapped. You want to blend in and look like you have nothing of value. I highly recommend reading the book “The SHTF Anthology-Survival Lessons of the Balkan Wars”. This book changed my perception on many things and what to expect. Practice with your weapons often. Dry fire your firearms. Practice reloads and sighting in. Practice different shooting positions. I highly recommend the book The Reluctant Partisan by a former Special Forces sergeant named John Mosby. That book is the bible for guerilla operations and how to prepare for it. His other books are fantastic as well.
Conclusion
This is just a brief introduction to what you can be working on. I know some of you probably feel the same uncertainty and uneasiness that I feel for the future. The best we can do is pray and prepare ourselves the best we can. A majority of us aren’t homesteaders, but that is still no excuse not to learn as many skills as you can on your off-time. Trust me, I know how comfy it is to doom scroll on 4chan or the internet and get depressed about the current situation. It is still a waste of energy and time. Use that anger and fear to push yourself to train and turn those emotions into confidence and resolution.
Take small steps when learning these skills, and use that confidence when you succeed to move on to more advanced steps. Branch out and learn more skills when you grow competent. You eat an elephant one plate at a time. Try to get some greens from the park, catch some fish, shoot some squirrels or pigeons. Get as much experience as you can in the outdoors. Do hikes and practice identifying plants along the trail. Go camping, learn to set up a tent, make a fire. Look for game trails on your hikes and practice reading tracks that you see. Make it a goal to try and get more and more of the food you eat from the wild. When the stores start drying up you already know where to find food. For instance, in my area I know where I can harvest a ton of garlic mustard, wild onions, dandelions, autumn olives, cat tails, mulberries, and blackberries.
I am always scouting for food. Walk around with a light backpack with some snares or a few traps, and some foraging gear like a sharp pair of scissors, a folding shovel, cloth bags, and some plastic bags and a field manual. You will have fun doing this, and will feel closer to God eating the food He made for us! Unlike the baby boomers who lived decadently through the most prosperous time in known human history, we will be the generation that will endure modern horrors that our ancestors could never imagine. This is our destiny. Embrace this struggle, realize God has given you a great opportunity to suffer like His Son did, and celebrate the coming end-days.

Seeing Behind the Curtain
Earlier I was speaking about being able to see behind the curtain, and I received an email from a man regarding our post about race: All (Humans) Can Come to Christ. I truly enjoyed his perspective, as in the post, we didn't quite talk about the psyop behind the race baiting you are seeing all of the time. I just wanted to share that with readers. I do want to note it is a casual email, so read it that way!
Color Tree's Perspective on "The Race Psyop"
The white nationalist "Christian identity" movement seems to me as basically Hitler energy. Probably spooks involved (US and Israel), and also legit white nationalists. Seems to me to be a way to derail real Christian identity and probably to demonize it for glowie purposes. The supposed white nationalists I see promulgating this have no Christ/God experience, little if any scripture knowledge (or only one verse to support the race stuff), and their reasoning cannot stand even the most basic text analysis [they rely on specific translations and can't work with actually digging into the etymology or concordance - they can only influence from a shallow place and hide from deeper inquiry, resort to shill tactics and pipul], and seem to use similar scripts. It seems heavily glowie supported with useful idiots. CIA and Mossad are #1 supporters of white nationalism because it is manageable in terms of lawfare and public opinion. Genuine Christ identity is completely outside of their control hence these efforts.
Also in a similar vein, I've been seeing these "Christian-Jewish unity" people (types that wear a cross necklace, USA flag, and Israel flag on their shirt), who give me very strong useful idiot vibe. They give me the vibe of Mossad backed (funded/connections/media) via proxies. The Mossad proxies are really really good at getting gullible Christians to think Christ is some kind of side issue, and as if the false Christ isn't going to set up in Israel first.
Saw 2 of these guys on Infowars so far. It just reeks of gullible boomer shaking hands with Mossad proxies who talk real smooth about the holy land, peace, and cooperation etc, give them money, tell them they're doing a good job - basically schmoozing them - they are beyond experts at this, all the while knowing exactly what they are doing. Can't quite put my finger on it because at times they do seem pretty genuine, but just have these gaping blind spots - an example is the US guy who found the 5 spotless red heifers for Israel. Just had a really weird energy about him. They talk like they're doing it because maybe one day they'll be able to convert the Jews, but even in the video the guy mentioned he hopes he can discuss the NT writing with his Jewish benefactors (they always only discuss OT) - they are just getting strung along.
Isaiah 53 describes what the remnant of Jews will do after the real Christ comes (after the abomination of desolation set up in Israel) - mourn.
By the way, the "race" people can't even define race. This is a good simple powerful angle to go when talking about this because if they define it properly it will fracture their group, and if they don't it will show they are in bad faith or incompetent.
I doubt there are many sincere race Christian identity people, and if there are, they are incompetent. I think it's mostly astroturfed. They desperately want to keep things on dialectical lines such as race to keep dialectic magic going. They are just buying some time. It will all fall apart fantastically when the spirit getting poured out ramps up. The spooks understand these things in anthropological and political terms; they will be really disarmed from a genuine outpouring of the spirit, which is underway. They don't have any experience with the spirit and don't think any of this stuff is real beyond an arbitrary belief system people cling onto for socio-psycho-economic reasons (in many cases this is true, but they don't have any way of telling when it's not).
No real Christian says that race stuff. If you've ever met a black person who is legit Christian and deeply spiritual, and you think God hates them because of the body they incarnated into, you are either stupid or a glowie. These people talking about race like this would prob never actually kill or deprive a person to their face, only talk about it online. I really think it's mostly glowies (Mossad and CIA mostly), along with some 100-110iq retards and a bunch of bots. Any real Christian, a person who has truly been born again and has had spiritual encounters, is going to be saying anything like that. There is huge practical strategic memetics incentive to hybridize Christian identity and white nationalism.

"Christian identity" (as you described) has more identity penetration power but it's still weak.

To end this post, Jesus Christ was persecuted, and because He was hated by the world, if you truly follow Him, you likely will be hated by the world, too. Remember, they hated Him first.

Messianic Prophecies
Witness 1
The Old Testament contains more than three hundred passages that refer to the first coming of the promised Messiah. These references are remarkably detailed, and taken together they present a clear portrait of the Messiah. Within the prophecies, Bible scholars have found forty-eight specific details that match the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. We will discuss only seventeen of these prophecies, which present undeniable evidence that only one person, Jesus of Nazareth, could be Israel’s promised Messiah. The Messianic prophecies are God’s way of giving us an address to look for, a supernatural GPS locater beacon telling us where to look for truth when people make religious claims.
Remember that our most important job is the Great Commission - to make disciples of all nations. The apologetica that I post is not merely pointless knowledge, or intellectualism for the sake of intellectualism - it's to help all of you convert people more effectively. Jesus made it clear that, while it's important to feed the hungry, it's even more important to give them the Bread of Life, which brings eternal fulfillment. This is why I spend a lot of time on apologetics. Christians have greatly failed at doing this in recent years and have conceded a lot of intellectual high ground to atheists and materialists that I consider to be unwarranted.
These prophecies occurred at an earlier point in the historical record then their fulfillment, and were written in the Old Testament centuries before the life of Jesus. Thus, they cannot be referred to as self-contained, as the texts are verifiably historically older than the fulfillment of the prophecy. As we have seen, historians have an accurate timeline of the authorship of the Bible, corroborated consistently with the historical record when compared to extra-Biblical histories, meaning that the Old Testament texts containing these prophecies has been conclusively dated.
When you calculate the likelihood of several events taking place at or near the same time, you have to multiply all the probabilities together. For instance, if the probability of a single event occurring randomly is 1 chance in 5 and the probability of a separate event occurring is 1 chance in 10, then the probability that both events will occur together or in sequence is 1 in 5 multiplied by 1 in 10, which yields 1 in 50.
Consider the odds when you toss a coin in the air. Since a coin has two sides, the odds are 50 percent, or 1 chance in 2, that you will get heads when you toss a quarter. However, suppose you toss the quarter two times. What are the odds against getting heads twice in a row? The answer is 1 in 4. The combined odds are 2 × 2 = 4. The odds of tossing ten coins in a row and getting ten heads are staggering at 1 chance in 1,024.
I will provide a rough estimation of a basic probability for each specific Old Testament prophecy being fulfilled through Jesus Christ, leading to a calculation at the end.
Therefore, the odds against the hundreds of Messianic prophecies coming true are beyond comprehension. And even when we narrow the discussion down to just 26 of these prophecies coming true in the life of just one person, the odds are overwhelming. But no matter what the laws of probability might say about these 26 diverse predictions all being perfectly fulfilled in the life of the same person, the evidence is compelling that Jesus Christ was the promised Messiah
1. The Messiah would be born in the town of Bethlehem, and his ancestry would be from the tribe of Judah.
o “But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.” (Micah 5:2)
o “The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.” (Genesis 49:10)

2. He would be preceded by a messenger in the wilderness.
o “The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.” (Isaiah 40:3)
o The New Testament fulfillment reads, “In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea, and saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. (Matthew 3:1–2)

This is obviously the most extraordinary of these prophecies, and the primary one which may be argued by secularists wasn’t fulfilled through the life of Jesus. However, if we examine the historical record, there are extra-Biblical references to this supernatural darkness which provide enough evidence to suggest that this prophecy was, in fact, fulfilled.
There is an existing book by 9th century chronicler George Cyncellus called The Chronicle of Theophanes Anni mundi,[1]in which he quotes Julius Africanus’ no longer extant History of the World.[2] These writings by Africanus stated that the Roman historian Thallus explained in the third book of his also no longer extant writings, called History, that a mysterious darkness at the time of Christ’s death was due to a solar eclipse, but Africanus points out that this was technically impossible.[3] Thallus wrote on the history of the Ancient Near East in Syria in 52 A.D., only twenty years after the death of Christ, and appears to have referred to a supernatural darkness event at the time of Jesus’ crucifixion.
This type of “chain of citations” is normal within antiquity research, as we often only know of what ancient authors wrote through such citations, and there’s no reason to think that Syncellus or Africanus do not accurately cite works known to them, and which they had access to. Here is the passage from Africanus reproduced by Syncellus:
- On the whole world there pressed a most fearful darkness; and the rocks were rent by an earthquake, and many places in Judea and other districts were thrown down. This darkness Thallus in the third book of his History, calls, as appears to me without reason, an eclipse of the sun…how then should an eclipse be supposed to happen when the moon is almost diametrically opposite the sun?
A second historical reference to this supernatural darkness is found in the manuscript of Phlegon of Tralles, a pagan writer originally from Lydia. In approximately A.D. 138, Phlegon noted the astonishing fact that this “great and extraordinary eclipse of the sun distinguished among all that had happened in the fourth year of the two hundred and second Olympiad.”[4] This was the nineteenth year of Emperor Tiberius’ reign, which corresponds with the year 32 A.D. on our calendar.
Additionally, the Christian writer Tertullian (A.D. 160–220) in his Apologeticus, published in 197 A.D., wrote that the event of supernatural darkness was recorded in the official Roman government archives, and that the record could still be consulted in his day.[5]
- And yet, nailed upon the cross, He exhibited many notable signs, by which His death was distinguished from all others. At His own free-will, He with a word dismissed from Him His spirit, anticipating the executioner’s work. In the same hour, too, the light of day was withdrawn, when the sun at the very time was in his meridian blaze. Those who were not aware that this had been predicted about Christ, no doubt thought it an eclipse. You yourselves have the account of the world-portent still in your archives.

= 4 times 10 to the 40th power, or 4 with 39 zeroes after it.
To understand these odds, imagine that every one of these chances is represented by a single grain of sand. Then imagine that one grain of sand is painted gold and represents the one chance out of this astronomical number that Christ fulfilled the predictions by chance. We will blindfold you and ask you to search for the single gold-painted grain of sand. Imagine that the entire Milky Way galaxy, encompassing billions of stars plus millions of planets, moons, and asteroids is composed only of these 4 times 10 to the 40th power grains of sand. Out of the entire galaxy and all that it contains, your target is the one grain of sand that is painted gold.
Finding it will be a challenge 0because even if you could travel at the speed of light - 187,000 miles per second - it would still take you a hundred thousand years to cross the Milky Way. If we were to blindfold you and send you out to search through the galaxy to find the one gold-painted grain of sand, with no direction whatsoever, you would face the same impossible odds as the probability against these seventeen prophecies occurring by chance. With such odds against you, would you bet a thousand dollars that you would find the gold-painted grain of sand? I doubt it.
Yet, tragically, every year millions of people will die who have bet their lives and their eternal souls on the chance that the prophecies about Jesus are not reliable. They believe they can safely ignore the claims that Christ has made about Himself, about salvation, and about heaven and hell. However, in light of the overwhelming evidence for the authority of the Bible and the reality of Jesus Christ as God’s Messiah, each of us needs to consider the decision we must make about our response to Christ’s life, death, and resurrection.
So, next time someone asks you why you are a Christian, tell them: Because I'm more likely to find a single grain of sand in the entire Milky Way Galaxy, if every single object in it was made out of sand, than it is that Christianity is not true. When they say in reply, "Huh??", use their confusion as an opening to preach in a constructed, logical, and compelling way.
Faith is enough for some, but it's not for many. That's where these apologetic arguments come into play. God bless you all.
