ἀγωνίζομαι (agónizomai) and Ministry Updates

ἀγωνίζομαι or agónizomai

I had several dreams last night, but I will focus on this one due to time. God told me the morning messages help people - that some just need a message to wake up to, even if it is short. So here it goes.

Last night I dreamt that I was putting 75% cloud cover over the town I reside in. Why was I doing that? I wanted some clouds! Haha. I think this is an allusion to my continual growing power of "water", and I am practicing and growing in my powers of water and fire, in mostly secret.

However, I think this dream has a message for readers. In the concordance, 75 is actually a wonderful word for Christians.

First, if you look at the Greek word pronunciation "agónizomai" - it seems to have the root "agony", which actually has more of an original "happy root" of leading or celebrating. So, even though we associate agony with pain, this word leads us to in a different direction.

The word is a verb or action, and all of us should be in a state of agónizomai.

We are all in a contest, and we need to finish the race. This is a war. This is a battle. Every moment, we must wake up as if we are fighting a battle, competing in a race, and struggling against an adversary - because we are!

When looking at this word, it's about "making every effort" to enter through the narrow door. That is what we should be doing as Christians each day.

Every moment of your day should be an effort toward Jesus Christ - whether it is the struggle to be kind to someone, to forgive someone, to help someone, or to push yourself in a way you never have before, such as joining our ministry.

We are "strenuously contending" daily:

We are "making every effort" to enter through the narrow door:

We are "wrestling in prayer" and "standing firm":

These are all the things we must do to succeed today. Today, I ask readers, will you make an effort to fight just a little harder today?

We have no choice, really. Each day as this world gets more evil, we have to get stronger.

Today, readers, will you overcome Satan?

We have to fight him daily, and one of the things Satan wants to do is discourage you. In fact, many Christians forget that.

Yes, Satan tempts you to sin, and that is his number one goal. However, if he cannot get you to sin, he will send demons of discouragement, and many are bombarded by them.

This is a short message today. I know it is simple, perhaps a message of "milk", but sometimes we need the milk.

So, if you needed the milk this morning, I hope this fed you. If you need some meat, Jake and I completed our first Bible study together. Please be kind - it's very nerve-wracking to put yourself out there like this, and it is more of an "informal" study. God told me people are tired of overly-produced efforts. This is a natural effort, and thank you to all who attended last night in Jesus's name!
